FAQ

What should I expect with my newborn photography shoot?

A safe, relaxed and stress-free experience for you and your baby, from the moment you book until you receive your final high-quality newborn baby photos.

My studio is equipped with everything we need for the session and it was designed to provide comfort to my little clients and their families. The baby photoshoot usually takes about 2-3 hours and we stop for cuddles and feeds during this time.

What’s the best time to take newborn portraits?
The best time to photograph newborns is within the first 2 weeks of your baby’s arrival. During these first few days he/she is still really sleepy and will fit comfortably into those cute curled-up positions.

When should I book?
I recommend contacting me around week 30 of your pregnancy so that I can make sure I’m available around the time that your little one arrives. We also have enough time then to organise a maternity photoshoot as well if you wish.

You then let me know as soon your baby is born and I can schedule your session. Last minute slots become available from time to time so if you’ve already had your baby feel free to get in touch and I’ll check my availability.

Can we get pictures with parents and siblings, too?
Yes, of course! They are more than welcome to be part of the session.

How much do you charge?
Initial investment is €1200. Please get in touch for the full price guide. Please get in touch for the full price guide.

Are you trained to work with babies?
For me, nothing is more important than the safety and welfare of each little baby I work with. I am a fully-trained newborn photographer, a member of various international and national photography associations and I also offer workshops and mentoring to other baby photographers.

Do I need props or outfits?
You don’t need anything. I have a great selection of props and accessories that I bring with me to the photoshoot. But if you have anything sentimental you would like to include, I’ll happily use that, too.

My baby’s skin is not good at the moment. What can you do?
Don’t worry about it. This is completely normal with new babies. I retouch all my images in post-production, so they will look their best in their newborn portraits.

How do I book?
Contact me here with your details and I’ll get back to you ASAP with all the info. I look forward to hearing from you.
